Wings (1927) Clara Bow

Clara Bow

"The it girl"......Clara Bow, happened to come by that

name from a role she played in the 1927 film "It". Clara 

made such an impression that she began known as 

"The it Girl". Clara also made an impression in another

film from that same year, called "Wings", where her bare

breasts made many want to change that newly acquired 

nickname to something else! This film happened to be 

the very first recipient of an Oscar for best picture.
